Locals Mourn Famous Restaurants Including Hollywood’s Iconic 101 Coffee Shop

Just like the hundreds of thousands of people lost to the coronavirus pandemic, restaurants are now getting obituaries in newspapers across the country. Lucky Strike in New York City opened in 1989 and was hailed by The New York Times. In Chicago, Blackbird was eulogized after being open since 1997. And in Hollywood, the beloved 101 Coffee Shop, made famous by Vince Vaughn’s 1996 cult classic “Swingers,” shut its doors.
