Louisville Metro Council Bans No-Knock Warrants After Breonna Taylor Death

The city of Louisville, Kentucky outlawed no-knock warrants months after the death of Breonna Taylor. On March 13, police executing a warrant used a battering ram to enter the apartment where Breonna lived with her boyfriend. While the police report states the officers identified themselves upon entering the apartment, Breonna’s boyfriend claims they did not and he shot at police officers.
