‘Lucky’ Black Cat Leaps From Burning Chicago Building, Lands and Lives

When a fire broke out in a building in the Englewood section of Chicago earlier this week, one feline-in-residence had to save itself. As smoke streamed from the window of a 5th floor apartment, the cat appeared – and made a death-defying leap. The lucky cat bounced when it hit the ground – but then got up and ran away. “Cats are incredibly durable,” veterinarian Dr. Laurie Hess told Inside Edition Digital. “You should have that cat checked out by a veterinarian immediately,” she recommended.
