Madeleine McCann’s Parents Think Netflix Documentary Could Hurt Search

The parents of missing British child Madeleine McCann are denouncing the new Netflix series about her disappearance. "We do not see how this ... will help the search for Madeleine, and, particularly given there is an active police investigation, could potentially hinder it," Kate and Gerry McCann said in a statement ahead of the series' release. Their daughter was just 3 when she vanished during a vacation in Portugal, 12 years ago, one theory being that she was kidnapped by a pedophile ring.
