Man Claiming to Have a Bomb Climbs Ferris Wheel

Onlookers watched as a man claiming to have a bomb climbed a ferris wheel. This happened at Pacific Park, the amusement park located on California’s famous Santa Monica Pier. Park-goers overheard a man saying he had a bomb, according to police, before he began climbing the 85-foot Pacific Wheel, the world’s first solar-powered Ferris wheel. Police say “no bomb or incendiary device was located.” After the suspect was taken into custody, they were brought to a hospital for an evaluation.
