The first lady made the fashion statement of the year, wearing a striking, wide-brimmed white hat as she and the president greeted French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Bridgette. The brim of Melania Trump’s hat, which she wore Tuesday afternoon, was so wide, President Macron had to duck to kiss her on the cheek. Fashion psychologist Dawnn Karen says she had a good reason for choosing that hat. It was designed by the French label Herve Pierre.
