Melting Snow Off Mt. Kilimanjaro Is Causing Concern for Wildlife: Experts

Melting snow off Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania is causing what experts say is drastic consequences for the wildlife in Amboseli National Park. Now there are swampy areas, which effect the ecosystem. “The melting of the mountain in the other side is not very good. So it has both positive and negative for Amboseli. It is positive because now we have permanent water source for our wildlife,” said Dr. Patrick Omondi with the Wildlife Research and Training Institute in Kenya.
