Missouri Tree Service Finds Civil War Cannonball in Old Piece of Wood

September 16, 2019

The 2- to 3-pound relic dates back to the Civil War. It happened in Independence, Missouri. The town was the site of two Civil War battles. Both the First and Second Battles of Independence resulted in Confederate victories. Traces of that history remain embedded in the landscape.
