Mom Claims Coffee Shop Held Her After Her Child Broke a Pricey Table

A young girl accidentally knocked over a table, reportedly made of expensive marble, at a coffee shop, and her mom says she was stunned by what happened next. The mother says the owner told her the table was $1,600 and they could not leave without leaving her license and a credit card. In a statement, the store says "we would never hold anyone against their will," and that it requested her contact information for "insurance purposes."
