Mom Runs 50 National Parks to Honor Daughter Who Died of Cancer

It was supposed to be a mother-daughter journey, but after Gil Schaenzle's daughter Anna Rose died of cancer, she decided to go on without her. Gil says she had the idea to run 50 national parks while Anna Rose was battling neuroendocrine tumors. She says her daughter was determined to beat her illness to run with her, but Anna Rose died in March 2017. So Gil ran to raise awareness for the disease.
