Mom Says Insurance Wouldn’t Cover a Life-Saving Liver Transplant at Georgia Hospital

Erika Giduturi, a mom to three, needs a liver transplant. She’s been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma, which affects the duct between the liver and small intestines. Since August 2021, she’s been seeking medical treatment from radiation to chemotherapy at Emory University Hospital in Georgia. The hospital approved her to be added to the donor recipient list, but Giduturi says her insurance denied it. Inside Edition Digital’s Leigh Scheps has more.
