More Than $1.5 Million Raised for Kevin Strickland, Innocent Man Who Spent 43 Years in Prison

Kevin Strickland was just 18 when four people were shot in Kansas City, Missouri, in April 1978. Three died. The lone surviving witness, Cynthia Douglas, claimed he was one of the shooters after pressure from police, but she then later recanted. That testimony helped lock Strickland up. Douglas worked to free Strickland until her death in 2015. In August, Missouri passed a law that paved the way for Strickland to get his day in court. Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer has the details.
