Mystery Still Surrounds Lauren Smith-Fields and Brenda Lee Rawls’ 2021 Deaths

Neither of the women knew each other, but they died on the same day, in the same city, about 10 minutes away from each other, on December 12, 2021. The women’s families say what, exactly, happened to Lauren Smith-Fields and Brenda Lee Rawls remains a mystery to them. “We're still grieving, unfortunately because there's no closure and we still have no answers,” Rawls' sister, Dorothy Washington, said.
