N95 masks are now more widely available to the public, as President Biden has invoked the Defense Production Act to increase national supply. The number of masks you should be wearing is now up for debate, though. Former acting director of the CDC Dr. Richard Besser says one mask is all he needs, while Dr. Anthony Fauci says two is the way to go. However, if you want the most protection, a study by researchers at Virginia Tech found that three is the magic number.
