New Banksy Mural on Reading Prison Wall Defaced With Dead Rival’s Tag

A new painting by the elusive street artist Banksy recently appeared on the wall of a former English prison. The work depicted a prisoner, descending from a rope of knotted paper, attached to a typewriter. It’d been drawing visitors to the Reading Prison, eager to get a glimpse of the work. But now the Banksy has an additional, and unwelcome, claim to fame: it was vandalized. Someone sprayed “Team Robbo” beneath the figure, covering up the typewriter.
