New COVID-19 ‘Mu Variant’ Gaining Traction Across 49 States

The nation seemed to throw caution to the wind over the Labor Day weekend, with the volume of airline passengers hitting levels similar to those of 2019. There is concern from health experts over the likelihood of a new surge in coronavirus infections. This comes as a new variant appears to be gaining traction in 49 of the country’s 50 states. The “mu” variant has been detected in every state except Nebraska. Labor Day was set to be when millions returned to office work; that has now been delayed.
