New Jersey Teacher With Rare Kidney Disease Finds Donor Match in Co-Worker at School

The hallways at Saint Leo the Great School in Lincroft, New Jersey, were lined with students and staff in a moving send off for two of their teachers. Computer teacher Mike Daneman is donating his kidney to his co-worker, language arts teacher, Lauren Crupi. Crupi, a mom of two has a rare kidney disease that runs in her family. Both her mom and sister had transplants. They found out last year that they have a rare gene called MUC-1. Inside Edition Digital’s Leigh Scheps has more.
