Newborn Twins Take Experimental Medicine to Increase Odds of Living Past 3

Twins Charlie and Kolton Martin have Menkes disease. Doctors at the University of Iowa are now implementing treatment, an experimental drug that includes copper injections,  in order to give them the best chance of survival. The twins' brother Dylan passed away from the same disease when he was two. Like the twins, Dylan was also born prematurely. At six months he stopped eating and started having seizures.
