Creative young environmentalists in Lagos, Nigeria, are turning trash into fashion. They dub their wearable rubbish, ‘Trashion.’ Fifteen-year-old Esohe Ozigbo is a budding eco-couturist, who said, “I really think it is like us making a statement and showing that we care about the environment and you should too.” Esohe and her fellow trashionistas have a lot of raw materials with which to work. Lagos, which boasts a population of 20 million, generates some 10,000 metric tons of waste every day.
