    Fruit Stripe Gum Discontinued After 54 Years

    A gum that’s been chewed, smacked, and stuck under school desks for decades has just been discontinued. Ferrara Candy, owner of Fruit Stripe Gum, has announced it “made the difficult decision to sunset Fruit Stripe Gum.” Fruit Stripe gum was invented in 1969. It marketed to its young audience through commercials featuring mascot, Yipes the Zebra. Yipes was so popular, his identity was even a question on the game show "Jeopardy!"
