Ohio National Guard Dad Surprises Son After Year-Long Deployment

Sgt. Perry Chronister of the U.S. National Guard had been deployed in the Middle East for a year.  He missed holidays and his son Eli’s birthday. When it was time to come home, this guardsman teamed up with Eli’s school to make it magical. Sgt. Chronister donned the school’s tiger mascot costume before walking into Eli’s 2nd-grade classroom.
