The Legendary Alan Arkin Is Dead at 89

Legendary actor Alan Arkin has died. Arkin’s death was announced in a statement from his family. Arkin appeared in dozens of films, plays and tv shows, often playing cantankerous, grumpy men. He won a Tony Award for his role in “Enter Laughing,” and received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in 2006’s “Little Miss Sunshine.” Arkin, who was 89, is survived by his wife, three sons, four grandchildren and great grandson.
