Palace Asks Bank to Phase in King Charles Money to 'Lessen Environmental Impact’

As the UK prepares for the coronation of King Charles III, the Bank of England is printing new notes to go into rotation. Soon, citizens and visitors to the UK will use both the money that features the late Queen Elizabeth II as well as money that shows the reigning monarch, her son Charles. The 10-pound polymer note is the first to bear the image of King Charles III, before the £5, £20 and £50 bills are changed.
