Some skaters learned the hard way that Europe may be thawing out. The ice gave way underneath a group of people ice skating on Amsterdam’s famous canals, plunging them into the freezing water. People on shore tried to help them out, offering them hockey sticks and rope to hold on to as they pulled them to land.
