Phoenix Gas Station Owner Loses $500 Per Day to Give Price Break to Customers

June 14, 2022

Jaswiendre Singh owns a service station in Phoenix, Arizona. For every gallon of gas purchased at his station, Singh is losing .47 cents. He’s currently buying the gas for $5.66 a gallon, and selling it to his customers for $5.19. With sales averaging a little over 1000 gallons of gas per day, Singh is roughly $470 to $500 in the red every single day. Singh hopes to make up the lost revenue at the pump with sales inside the store.
