President Biden Says Cough Is a Cold, Not COVID-19

At Friday’s White House press briefing, President Biden was coughing repeatedly and spoke in a gravelly voice. He assured reporters that he had a cold, which he intimated came from his grandson, Beau, the 1-year-old son of Hunter Biden. Biden says he has been tested for COVID-19 three times this week and is confident he just has “a frog in one’s throat,” as characterized by the president’s doctor. Meanwhile the Omicron variant is spreading and has been detected in five states.
