President Trump Calls Dr. Fauci and Disease Experts ‘Idiots’ on Campaign Call

President Trump trashed Dr. Anthony Fauci and other leading infectious disease experts today, calling them “idiots” on a call to his campaign staff that reporters were allowed to listen in on. Trump’s fury came after Dr. Fauci’s “60 Minutes” appearance in which he criticized last month’s White House event to celebrate Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the Supreme Court. Fauci also revealed that he gets round the clock protection by federal agents due to his family getting death threats.
