President Trump allegedly proposed the idea of nuking hurricanes before they make landfall to stop them. According to the website Axios, the president proposed the idea twice during the G-7 summit over the weekend in France. "Why don't we nuke them?" he's quoted as saying in a meeting with Homeland Security officials. "We drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it. Why can't we do that?" According to scientists, it would not work in real life.
