Rat Is Awarded a Gold Medal for Sniffing Out Landmines

Not many people likes rats, but many feel differently about Magawa, an African Pouched Rat that was awarded for its bravery and ability to sniff out landmines in Cambodia. He is the first rat to be awarded a gold medal from PDSA, which awards civilian animals for their life-saving bravery and exceptional devotion to duty. Previous animals honored by the charity include dogs, horses, pigeons and a cat. Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer has more.
