Rat Snake Becomes Star of Cricket Match After Slithering Onto Field

A large snake slithered onto the cricket grounds of a Lanka Premier League game in Colombo on July 31, bringing a temporary pause to the game as bemused players and spectators looked on. The snake, believed to be a non-venomous ptyas mucosa maximus or rat snake, interrupted a game between Galle Titans and the Dambulla Aura.
