Regis Philbin Died of Heart Disease at 88

TV legend Regis Philbin, who passed away at 88 this past weekend, is being mourned around the globe. Authorities said Tuesday Philbin died from heart disease. Regis’s heart issues are well-documented. In 1993, he underwent an angioplasty, and in 2007, he had a triple bypass surgery. When he returned to “Live! with Regis and Kelly,” he received a rousing round of applause. Philbin will be buried at Notre Dame University, his beloved alma mater, in Indiana.
