August 1, 2018
The remains of U.S. service members have been officially handed over from North Korea with a solemn repatriation ceremony held at Osan Air base in South Korea. "This is a solemn reminder that our work is not complete until all have been accounted for, no matter how long it takes to do so," said Vincent K. Brooks, Commander of United States Forces Korea. Fifty-five boxes containing the remains of troops who died in the Korean War will now be taken to Hawaii for identification.
