Rescued Twin Lions Evacuated From Ukraine Find Sanctuary in Belgium

People aren’t the only ones leaving Ukraine. Twin lions were set to be evacuated to Belgium in May, but the Russian invasion moved up their plans. Leaving wouldn’t be easy, though. Rescuers say they encountered the Russian army as they were leaving Kyiv and they claim soldiers threatened to kill the lions. The lions have already had a rough life. They were privately owned and malnourished until they were rescued by Ukrainian officials. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
