Rescuers Help Get Elephant and Her Calf Out of Ditch in Thailand

This unusual situation just kept escalating. It started when an elephant calf got stuck in a ditch. Its mother stood guard over the pit as the calf tried to get out. Officials in Thailand had their hands full with the pair. They needed to tranquilize the mom to get her off the hole to rescue the calf, but then mom got stuck in the pit.
