Rescuers Plow 8 Miles of Snow to Reach Stranded Ski Resort Vacationers

February 11, 2019

Wild weather left 120 people trapped for days after a blizzard dumped 8 feet of snow at a ski resort in Northern California. Rescuers had to clear trees and plow 8 miles of road to reach the Sequoia Lodge before the stranded people could be rescued. Luckily, the lodge was equipped with enough food and water for the five days the guests were trapped inside. Everyone was evacuated in a convoy and brought to safety, and nobody was hurt.
