Residents Volunteer to Clean Up Beach After Oil Spill in Philippines

Residents of a beach community in the Philippines have come together to clean up a hazardous mess. Remnants from an oil spill are washing up on the shores of Mindoro Island, threatening marine life and human life. Some residents report the smell of the toxic debris is making them sick. Reports say a ship carrying industrial fuel oil capsized and sank on Feb. 28 after hitting rough seas. The tanker was on its way to the central Philippines.
