Retired Military Dogs Find New Homes Thanks to This Navy SEAL

Military dogs often return from service broken and damaged, but the lucky ones end up with Mike Ritland of the Warrior Dog Foundation in Texas. Ritland, a Navy SEAL coaxes them back from the edge. "Every one of these dogs would be in a box full of ashes on somebody's desk if we weren't taking them," he says. "We are the last-ditch resort for these dogs." Retired military dog Rudy was rehomed with U.S. Air Force veteran Bob Welch, who says Rudy lives to serve.
