Rock Legend Eddie Van Halen Remembered Fondly by Ex-Wife Valerie Bertinelli

Eddie Van Halen, the legendary rock guitarist with shaggy hair and a goofy grin, died at age 65 of throat cancer. His final days were spent at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California, surrounded by the people who love him most - his son, his wife Janie and his ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli. Van Halen and Bertinelli, who rose to fame on the soap opera “One Day at a Time,” were married for 20 years, through highs and lows. Their son, Wolfgang Van Halen, later joined Van Halen as a bassist.
