Sally Field Says Her New Memoir Would Have Hurt Burt Reynolds

Oscar winner Sally Field’s new memoir, “In Pieces,” contains bombshell revelations about her former lover, the late Burt Reynolds. The two dated from 1977 to 1982. Field claims Reynolds took Percodan and Valium, among other medications, while they were filming “Smokey and the Bandit.” She says he refused to seek therapy for stress and anxiety as well. Reynolds died last week at age 82, and Field says the book would have hurt him had he read it.
