Scouts Collect Teddy Bears to Comfort Children After School Shooting in Iowa

Children are pitching in to help after gun violence strikes close to home. Fifth-grader Kyra Snyder tells KCCI she was set to go to school in Perry, Iowa, when she got a call from a friend informing her there was a shooting. Kyra’s father, Scot, remembers waiting to hear from Kyra’s brother at the high school. He was relieved to hear he was alright. Snyder’s kids, both members of the local boy scout troop, came up with a way to help comfort them. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
