Sex Offenders Among Those Released From Jail Due to Coronavirus Pandemic

As the pandemic spread swiftly across the country earlier this year, many convicted felons were granted early release from jails across the country due to concerns about COVID-19. Outside Rochester, New York, several sex offenders were released from jail and first moved to a Holiday Inn. The local chief of police says he was never notified. An Inside Edition investigation found other potentially dangerous sex offenders, including one convicted murderer, went off the grid after their early release.
