Shipping Container Destroys Car Near Port of Los Angeles in California

A shipping container flattened a car when it fell off a truck in Southern California. It happened in Wilmington, near the Port of Los Angeles. The accident occurred amidst growing gridlock at the port, with trucks clogging streets in the town. Neighbors are upset; one told KCBS, “Someone is going to get hurt, especially the kids.” Meanwhile, cargo ships bide their time at sea, waiting to get into the snarled port.
