Some Eclipse Watchers Who Claim They Wore Proper Eyewear Say Their Eyes Are Sore

Some solar eclipse watchers are complaining about sore eyes even though many are saying they wore protective eclipse glasses. Searches for “eyes hurt,” “my eyes hurt,” and “why do my eyes hurt” spiked on Google right before the eclipse in the northeast. Ophthalmologist Dr. Christopher Starr says, “Some of that is just the strain of staring at an object for as long as we all were looking at it yesterday.” Inside Edition’s Les Trent has more.
