Some Europeans Hit the Beach During Unseasonably Warm Winter

The slopes in Switzerland were looking a little green this winter. Climate scientists say the 2022-2023 winter season in the northern hemisphere was the second warmest on record. The patches of snow enjoyed by skiers this Christmas were artificially made. Scientists also say the weather on New Year's Day broke several records for high temperatures in eastern and north-eastern Europe. People in Spain hit the beach rather early this year.
