Spain’s Coast Guard Rescues 34 African Migrants From Boat in Atlantic Ocean

A boat with 34 African migrants was located by Spain’s Coast Guard in the Atlantic Ocean and all on board were brought to safety. It’s just the latest rescue effort as officials say more migrants are making the dangerous journey to the Canary Islands. Spain’s Interior Ministry says more than 9,000 migrants made the journey between January and August this year, that’s up from 3,900 migrants reported during the same time frame last year.
