Sri Lankan Protesters Won’t Leave President’s House Until He Officially Resigns

Sri Lanka’s opposition political parties met on Sunday to agree on a new government, a day after the country’s president and prime minister offered to resign. The meeting comes after thousands of protesters stormed both leaders’ homes and set fire to one of the buildings in a rage over the economic crisis. Soldiers were deployed around Colombo and Chief of Defense Staff Shavendra Silva called for public support to maintain law and order. Inside Edition Digital’s Stephanie Officer explains.
