Steve Harvey Says Teleprompter to Blame for Miss Universe Name Mishap

It's another Miss Universe flub for Steve Harvey as he returned to host the pageant for the fifth year in a row. In 2015, he famously announced the wrong winner. After proclaiming Miss Colombia would take home the crown that year, he apologized and announced it was Miss Philippines who the judges actually chose as Miss Universe. This year’s mishap came when he announced the Best National Costume winner, saying the winner was the Philippines, but it was actually Malaysia.
