Getting a college degree was no easy feat for Nick Malafronte. When he was 19, Malafronte was paralyzed from the chest down after diving into shallow water and hitting his head. His college education came to an abrupt halt as his long recovery began. But seven years later, he completed online courses at Southern New Hampshire University, and staff and family surprised him with a party to celebrate.
