You’re Probably Bringing Home Poop on Your Shoes

When you come home, you’re not alone. If you live in a city like New York, researchers say you’re bringing home gross things on the bottom of your shoes. “We found astonishing levels of enterococci, which are a fecal indicator bacteria,” says Professor Alessandra Leri of Marymount Manhattan College.
