Sudanese College Dropout Builds Robots From Junk in His Family’s Home

Mutasim Jubril had been studying electronic engineering, until money troubles forced him to drop out of school. Working out of a corner of his family’s home in Sudan, the 22-year-old has pieced together several convincing-looking robot creations. He uses waste materials, recycled bits, and procures parts from junk dealers, as well as the internet. He hopes his efforts will win him a scholarship or interest from businesses.
